35W Bridge Collapse Display

35W Bridge Collapse Display

July 28 – August 30, 2017

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the 35W Bridge collapse on Aug. 1, 2007, the Minnesota Historical Society will display a remnant of the bridge, a gusset plate, at Mill City Museum. The National Transportation Safety Board determined that the bridge's too-thin gusset plates were a likely cause of the collapse.

The display will be in the museum's Mill Commons from July 28 to Aug. 30, 2017, and is free and open to the public during regular museum hours (Monday-Saturday, 10 am - 5 pm, Sunday, Noon-5)
