Power Track - Water Lab
Students learn that moving water can be used as energy, and that the power of St. Anthony Falls has been used to manufacture products used across the world. They'll find out how people have changed the river to control and enhance its power potential.
Choose the age appropriate lesson. Power Track classes are 40 minutes long and taught in Mill City Museum's Water Lab.

Hands-on water activities show how the Mississippi river and St. Anthony Falls created power to run early industries in Minneapolis.
The Waterfall that Boosted a City, 4th - 6th
Students become boosters for the blossoming city of Minneapolis in 1880. To be great boosters they must learn as much as they can about St. Anthony Falls, how the Mississippi provided resources for the city of Minneapolis and how the river was changed to create power.
