Pentair Foundation Field Trip Grant

Free Admission and Subsidized Busing through the Pentair Foundation Field Trip Grant!

Thanks to the gracious support of The Pentair Foundation, Mill City Museum is able to offer free museum admission and assistance with busing costs for students from qualified public schools.

To Qualify:
  • Must be a public school in the Twin Cities Seven County Metro area.
  • School must have at least 50% of its students enrolled in the Federal Free & Reduced Lunch Program.
  • Must visit the museum in October, November, or December, 2017
  • The Scholarship is available only for schools visiting during regular school hours with their regular class, and is not available for Youth Groups (before/after schools, school release day groups, scout groups, daycares, etc.).
What the Grant provides:
  • Free admission for all students and adults (an $8 per student value!).
  • Up to $4 per student towards your busing costs.
How to Apply:
  • There is no separate application that you need to fill out for the Grant.  Simply call, e-mail, or fill out an online field request form and schedule a visit in October, November, or December, 2017 to secure Grant funding.  When scheduling a visit or filling out a request form you must mention that you're interested in the Pentair Foundation Field Trip Grant, and ask if funding still available.
  • Once you reserve a date for your field trip, then that will secure grant funding for you.
  • You will need to provide some documentation prior to your field trip.
  • Grant funding is limited and is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Other Scholarships and Grants are available through MN Historical Society Scholarships

Schedule a visit by calling 612-341-7556, e-mailing mcmschedulingoffice@mnhs.org, or filling out an online field trip request form.  Please note that filling out a request form does not guarantee you Grant money or field trip date - it is a request only.  Funding is not secured for you until you officially reserve a date for your visit.
